AKSES
Adult Key Skills Education Service

This project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union to help with Key Skills. The key skills a range of skills every adult needs in order to take an active part in activities in the home, community, and workplace. They are vital to ensure success in education, training and improve job prospects. Key skills include:

  • Applying Numbers and Tackling Maths Problems in Everyday Life

  • Creative Thinking

  • Problem-Solving

  • Working with Others

  • Study Skills

  • Learning to Learn

  • Personal Effectiveness

The service aims to provide a friendly and respectful atmosphere. Classes are part-time and FREE, taking place during the mornings, afternoons and/or evenings. Learners are supported to work towards QQI accreditation and progress on pathways to more advanced courses that are available. The courses available:
